She also does work on narrative medicine, and currently Haffey is a Research Associate at the University of Utah College of Nursing in Salt Lake City. Translating Ulysses
Marcelo Zabaloy is an Argentine translator of Ulysses and Finnegan’s Wake into Spanish. Here, he talks with Catherine about his quarantine project: translating Ulysses into Spanish again, this time without the letter “A”. Zabaloy was inspired by Georges Perec’s 1969 novel La Disparition, which omits the letter “E”. He also reads from both of his translations of “Calypso”. Listen below:
